Technology as a mirror of society.
To be is to be perceived. Matthew Ball uses this quote to explain technological challenges in his book “The Metaverse”. We need to add another challenge in this digitalized world. Who is perceived? How are we perceived? And who determines the framework of our digital presence? Who are the creators of our digital existences? We know the problems already from the current web2.0. Such as coded bias or personal defamation on social media. We know the problem from our non-digital lives. Technology is just the mirror of our society. A mirror, that we can use as an opportunity for change.
